The short version. If you fill out the form on this site, we use your name, email, and phone number to send you listings and follow up with you personally about buying or selling a home in the Coachella Valley. We do not sell your information, and we never share your phone number or your texting consent with anyone for their marketing. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP, or of email by clicking unsubscribe, at any time.

1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

This website, yourdesertmove.com (the "Site"), is operated by Desert Cities Home ("we," "us," or "our"). The Site offers information and services related to residential real estate in the Greater Palm Springs area and the Coachella Valley (the "Services"). Real estate brokerage services are provided by Mike Haque, CA DRE# 01745484, of eXp Realty of California, Inc., CA DRE# 01878277.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit the Site, submit a form, or otherwise interact with us through the Site. We act as the controller of your personal data. We use third-party contractors to help deliver the Site and the Services ("Service Providers"), who act as data processors on our behalf.

This Policy applies only to yourdesertmove.com. It does not apply to other websites we operate, including desertcitieshome.com, which maintains its own policy, or to any third-party website you may reach through a link on this Site.

2. Personal Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us

When you submit a form on this Site, we collect the information you enter, which may include:

• Your first and last name

• Your email address

• Your phone number

• Information about what you are looking for, such as your price range, preferred cities or neighborhoods, home features, timeline, and whether you are buying, selling, or both

• Whether you are currently working with another real estate agent

• Your consent preferences for receiving calls, emails, and text messages

• Any other information you choose to include in a message or comment field

You may also provide information when you contact us directly by phone, email, or text.

Information Collected Automatically

We and our Service Providers automatically log certain information when you visit the Site, including:

• Device data: your device type, operating system and version, browser type, screen resolution, IP address, language settings, and general location such as city, state, or metropolitan area derived from your IP address

• Activity data: the pages you view, how long you spend on them, referring URLs, navigation paths, access times, whether you played an embedded video, and whether you started or completed a form

• Advertising data: which advertisement or link brought you to the Site, and whether your visit resulted in a form submission

We collect this information using cookies (small text files stored on your device), local storage technologies, and web beacons (also called pixel tags or clear GIFs, which record that a page was viewed or an email was opened).

Information From Third Parties

• Advertising and analytics platforms, such as Google, which may tell us that a visit or form submission originated from a particular campaign

• Public and commercial data sources, including property records, county assessor data, and multiple listing service (MLS) data, which help us prepare accurate information about properties and neighborhoods

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect to:

• Respond to you and provide the Services. This is the main reason we collect it. When you submit the form, we review what you told us and send you matching listings and our own read on the relevant neighborhoods

• Follow up with you by phone, email, and text message about your home search or sale, where you have consented to that contact

• Send marketing communications, such as new listing alerts and market updates, where you have opted in. You can opt out at any time as described in Section 6

• Maintain our records in our customer relationship management (CRM) system, including a history of our communications with you, so we can provide continuous and informed service

• Measure and improve our advertising, including understanding which campaigns produce genuine inquiries so we do not waste money on the ones that do not

• Operate, secure, and improve the Site

• Comply with law and respond to lawful requests, subpoenas, and government inquiries

• Protect against fraud and misuse, and to establish or defend legal claims

• Create anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you, which we may use and share for any lawful business purpose

4. Text Messages and Calls (SMS Terms)

If you check the consent box on our form, you agree that Desert Cities Home may contact you by phone call, email, and SMS text message about real estate services. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving our services.

What we send: listing matches, appointment confirmations and reminders, schedule updates, and responses to your questions

• To stop: reply STOP to any text. We will send one confirmation message and then stop. To rejoin, sign up again the way you did the first time

• For help: reply HELP, or email us at the address in Section 12

• Frequency: message frequency varies depending on your search and our conversation

• Cost: message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless provider with questions about your plan

• Carriers: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages

We do not share your phone number or your SMS consent with any third party for their own marketing purposes, and we never will. Some of our automated calls or messages may use an artificial or prerecorded voice.

5. Advertising and Tracking Technologies

We advertise this Site on Google and YouTube, and we measure whether those advertisements produce inquiries.

Conversion and Analytics Tracking

We use the Google tag and Google Ads conversion tracking on this Site. When you arrive from one of our advertisements and then submit a form, a conversion event is recorded so we can tell which campaigns are working. This event includes technical identifiers and information about your visit. It does not transmit the contents of your form to advertisers.

Interest-Based Advertising

We may participate in interest-based advertising, which means you could see our advertisements on other websites, on YouTube, and on social platforms after visiting this Site. Advertising platforms use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your activity across sites for this purpose.

Housing Advertising

Advertisements for housing are subject to special rules. We do not target our housing advertisements on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, familial status, national origin, disability, age, marital status, source of income, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local fair housing law. See Section 10.

6. Your Choices and Opt-Outs

• Text messages: reply STOP to any message

• Email: click the unsubscribe link in any email we send

• Phone calls: tell us during any call, or email us using the information in Section 12

• Cookies: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. See allaboutcookies.org for instructions

• Mobile advertising ID: your phone's settings may let you limit use of your advertising identifier

• Google's ad settings: adssettings.google.com

• Industry opt-out tools: Digital Advertising Alliance and Network Advertising Initiative

Because cookie-based opt-outs are stored per browser and per device, you will need to opt out on each browser and device you use.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: we do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as valid opt-out requests under California law.

7. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

• Our team and brokerage: Desert Cities Home team members and, where a transaction requires it, eXp Realty of California, Inc.

• Service Providers: companies that operate systems on our behalf, including our website and funnel platform, CRM and messaging provider, email delivery services, phone and SMS providers, and analytics services. They may use your information only to perform services for us

• Transaction participants: if you move forward with a purchase or sale, parties necessary to complete it, such as escrow and title companies, lenders, inspectors, and cooperating brokers — and only as needed for that transaction

• Professional advisors: attorneys, accountants, auditors, and insurers, as needed

• Legal and safety: where we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, property, or safety

• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case we will make reasonable efforts to require the recipient to honor this Policy

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

8. Use of Artificial Intelligence

We use artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to help produce content and manage communications, including drafting property descriptions and written content, suggesting responses to inquiries, organizing and prioritizing incoming messages, and identifying listings that may match your stated criteria.

AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions. Do not rely on it alone for any real estate decision without independent verification. A human reviews significant communications before they are sent, though routine automated replies may be sent without individual review.

You may request information about whether AI was used to produce specific content, request human review of a decision made with AI assistance, or opt out of AI-powered features where technically feasible. Contact us using the information in Section 12.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. In practice, contact information and communication records are kept for the duration of our relationship and for a reasonable period afterward, so we can pick up where we left off if you return. Transaction records are retained as long as required by California real estate law and our brokerage's record-keeping obligations. Marketing preferences are kept until you change them. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

10. Fair Housing

We are committed to the letter and the spirit of United States policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, familial status, national origin, disability, age, marital status, ancestry, source of income, veteran or military status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by the federal Fair Housing Act, the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, or the Unruh Civil Rights Act.

We do not steer clients toward or away from neighborhoods on the basis of any protected characteristic, and we do not answer questions about the demographic composition of a neighborhood. We are glad to point you to objective public data sources so you can evaluate any area for yourself.

11. Security, Children, and Third-Party Links

Security. We use technical, organizational, and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk of processing your information, and we follow generally accepted industry standards to protect it in transmission and in storage. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children. The Site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

Third-party links. The Site may link to websites we do not control, including video platforms and listing portals. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

13. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA") gives you the rights described in this section.

Categories of Information Collected

In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected these categories of personal information:

• Identifiers: name, email address, postal address, phone number, IP address, and unique online identifiers

• Commercial information: your property preferences, price range, timeline, and any transaction history with us

• Internet or network activity: pages viewed, interactions with the Site, and interactions with our emails and advertisements

• Geolocation data: general location such as city and state, derived from IP address

• Inferences: conclusions drawn from the above about your preferences and likely interests

We collect this information from you directly, automatically through the Site, and from the third-party sources described in Section 2. We use it for the business purposes described in Section 3.

Your Rights

• Right to know: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the business purpose, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it

• Right to delete: request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions

• Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information

• Right to opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information. We may "share" limited identifiers with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising as described in Section 5, and you may opt out by contacting us or by transmitting a Global Privacy Control signal

• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not request sensitive personal information through this Site

• Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights

How to Submit a Request

Submit requests by email or mail using the contact information in Section 12. We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, up to 90 days total, we will tell you why in writing. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity, which we will use only for verification. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf with your written permission. Requests to know are limited to twice in a 12-month period and cover the preceding 12 months. We do not charge a fee unless a request is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded, in which case we will explain and give you an estimate first.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and post the revised Policy on this page. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Policy.
